IPHA Policy Agenda and Updates

The IPHA Advocacy Committee works diligently to create an annual legislative agenda for IPHA members to center their state-level public health advocacy efforts around. The agenda is voted on and finalized by the IPHA Board of Directors and released as a public document before the general legislative session in Iowa

Additional advocacy efforts are pursued via press releases, open letters, and combined efforts with other public health-oriented organizations and groups. You can learn more about IPHA’s core issues of maintaining and expanding Iowa’s vaccination rates, supporting the public health workforce, improving the public health infrastructure in our state, and increasing health equity by joining the advocacy committee.
