The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services’ (Iowa HHS) Division of State Operated Specialty Care is seeking an Executive Officer 2.
Summary:
The State-Operated Specialty Care (SOSC) Division is directly responsible for the oversight of the five (5) HHS facilities which operate on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week schedule. These facilities are as follows: Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI), Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI), Civil Commitment Unit for Sexual Offenders (CCUSO), State Training School (STS), and Woodward Resource Center (WRC). NOTE: The Glenwood Resource Center (GRC) is no longer operational sans the waiver program but the facility proper is maintained by the division during the closure/transition period.
The State Resource Centers (SRCs) are facilities within Iowa HHS, SOSC division. They have a combined operating budget of ~$80,000,000.00, serving approximately 180 residents in both an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with an Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) setting, and facilitating a Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver program.
