IASOPHE is a voluntary organization composed of professional health educators and health education students who reside in Iowa.  Members are affiliated with a variety of public health settings including worksites, managed care, health care, schools, local and state health departments, and community-based organizations.  The services and programs offered by IASOPHE are designed to enhance skills and improve knowledge as well as promote career development and networking.

National SOPHE is an independent, international professional association made up of a diverse membership of health education professionals and students.  SOPHE promotes healthy behaviors, healthy communities, and a healthy environment through its membership, its network of local chapters, and its numerous partnerships with other organizations. 

With its primary focus on public health education, SOPHE provides leadership through a code of ethics, standards for professional preparation, research and practice, professional development and public outreach.  For more information on National SOPHE, visit their website at www.sophe.org.
